Blasphemy of the Rich and Famous

What will Madonna come up with next? According to BBC news , the segment of her concert in which she is suspended by a huge, mirrored crucifix and wearing a crown of thorns will be cut from her concert footage. Friends, this is only another stunt in the long list of blasphemy that the rich of this world commit. They will do anything for press and money. Madonna says in the news article that she is doing this crucifixion and thorns segment as an appeal for the world to give donations for AIDS charities. And this is what she came up with? She has chosen the most holy symbol to Christians, that of the cross, and placed HERSELF on it. How can she figure that the world will give more money for AIDS charities by her committing blasphemy of this magnitude?

15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.

16 These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage.

There is an all out war on the divinity of Jesus Christ and his gospel. Mockery and blasphemy are the tools of choice.

What is the definition of Mockery? "showing your contempt by derision ". Mockery shares the same definition as scoffing.

What is the definition of Blasphemy? blasphemous language (expressing disrespect for God or for something sacred)

I remember when the movie "The Last Temptation of Christ" produced a huge outcry all over the nation.

But lately I have noticed a diminished outcry in regards to the blasphemy of Christ and of all things sacred. Why do you suppose that is? I believe it is because it is not longer considered PC to speak out against those who are engaged in blatant blasphemy against God, Jesus and Christianity. I also believe that there are many in the Christian church who do not see the extent of evil present in regards to blasphemy as well as the significant damage it does. Who knows, perhaps many Christian leaders who should be speaking out on the issue of blasphemy are too busy making money, just a guess but it could be true.

The blasphemers are out in full force and have no regard for truth nor for the views of others. But what many have glossed over is that profanity and blasphemy affords it's perpetrators with handsome financial rewards. Blasphemy is a money maker in our society.

Let's stop and examine how blasphemy has become more extremely blatant in films and literature today.

In this article I will go into some detail on two books that fit the description of blasphemous and that have recently been launched to the public, they are:

"The Davinci Code" by Dan Brown and "When Will Jesus Bring the Pork Chops?" by George Carlin.

Those who are targeting the truth with blasphemous lies range from the author, Dan Brown, of the Davinci Code, to George Carlin's latest profanity filled excuse for literary comedy.

The Davinci Code

The Davinci Code held onto the number one slot at Amazon for many weeks. As of this writing, Davinci Code is at # 3 on Amazon's current bestseller list. The money is just flowing in to author Dan Brown.

This book was introduced as Fiction, yet the author who resorted to blatant blasphemy in order to write it will not be held unaccountable.

Among other falsehoods revealed in The Davinci Code, the author has written that:

1 Jesus was married to Mary Magdalene and had children.

2 Jesus's bloodline was carried on through the children that were produced by Jesus and Mary Magdalene.

What can be more blasphemous than even the suggestion that Jesus married and had children?

Jesus was Mary Magdalene's Lord, Savior and Deliverer. Contrast that with the blasphemy found in this book that suggests Jesus was married to her and had children with her. The outcome is only this: A Holy and sacred thing has been transformed into an unholy thing, all with the stroke of the author's pen.

We know that Jesus NEVER sinned. Those of us who believe the Biblically accurate account of Jesus's life, burial and resurrection know this. In fact, the very salvation of the human race hinges on this one point, that Jesus never sinned and his sinless blood was the price that was paid in order that we would gain eternal life and be brought back to the Father God by our savior's ultimate sacrifice. That of him giving his very life for the sins of many - all of humanity. The author's "fictional" account of Jesus's life is just that - FICTION.

But you have to wonder what type of person would author a book that shows such contempt and blatant disregard for the most sacred of subjects.

That the pure blood of Jesus was shed for the sins of lost humanity is then twisted into:

The blood of Jesus was carried on through the children that Jesus and Mary created.

The divinity of Jesus is then denigrated, his very nature and character suffers slander.

What is more blasphemous than this?

Not only is this filth dreamed up in the mind of it's author, it is then put to pen and sold to the public. This is nothing less than the height of blasphemy.

When Will Jesus Bring The Pork Chops?

As of this writing, Carlin's book is # 32 on the bestseller list at Amazon.

In George, we have an unbeliever obtaining wealth and popularity by utilizing his writing efforts.

Here is the latest news on George, who is the author of "When Will Jesus Bring the Pork Chops?, it was recently announced that he is entering a rehab clinic for alcohol and drug addiction . He reveals that he is addicted to wine and Vicodin, a narcotic painkiller.

I believe it is great of Carlin to admit that his alcohol and painkiller use is out of control. Kudos to all who would come clean with themselves and admit that they have an area of their life that is getting the best of them.

But here's the point I am trying to make: George Carlin has no control over his own life, that is one reason why he engages in blasphemy and is so offensive to others. Another reason he resorts to blasphemy is because of the financial pay off he gets from doing so. Big money is involved in blasphemy these days. He has proven himself to have no morals over the years and it is evident that self control is absent in Carlin's life. I did not even need to know that he is an alcohol and drug addict, I knew he had no control over his mouth when he took up his blasphemous behaviors many years ago. So the drug addiction part does not surprise me.

If a man has no control over his tongue, it's a good guess that most other areas in his life will be chaotic, thus the drug addiction.

It means something when one doesn't have control over their own life, and at the same time they are a well known blasphemer of all things sacred.

I will go on record and say that I do not believe that anything Carlin has said is tame. Everything he has said in regards to God, Jesus and the Christian church is blatantly destructive. In the past Carlin has had a tendency to spew forth the sickest of sexual subject matter as well.

Some years ago I heard George Carlin on Television for about 14 seconds, which is about how long it took me to grab the remote and tune him out. What Carlin said and how he said it reminded me of the time I saw the comedian Sam Kinison on a television special years ago.

Here is a quote from Sam Kinison before his death :
"I have lived a carnal life. My view of life is 'If you're going to miss Heaven, why miss it by two inches? Miss it!' I don't have to go through the thing of paying for it in the next life. I know I'm screwed in the next life."

The words Kinison said came right out of his own mouth. And what did Jesus say about the words we speak?

Matthew 12:34:

for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

The difference in Sam Kinison and George Carlin? Kinison died in 1992 and Carlin is still alive.

Those who enjoy the blatant in your face blasphemy of all things sacred that Carlin has been enmeshed in over the years are just as deceived as he is.

Nobody has forced these blasphemers to act as they do and only they are accountable for it. But remember this, these people are currently exposing countless others to their views in this world. People like this seem to get some perverted enjoyment out of making a mockery of the gospel of Christ. The blatant disrespect for Christianity is ever present in Carlin's comedy acts and interviews that he gives. However, he does hold Buddhism in high regard.

I cannot understand people like this. Even though I do not agree with the lost, those who choose to reject Christ, I do not ridicule and mock them. But Carlin's tendency has always been to mock the things of God and all things spiritual.

And the scripture below is the crux of the matter.

I will leave you with bible scripture that sheds light on what Jesus said regarding the sin of blasphemy, idle words and the human heart:

Matthew 12: 30-37

30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.

31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.

34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. 36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

The present darkness that blasphemers live in is not enough for them. They have chosen to have an effect on others in this world. These authors are allowed to be in their darkness, it is their choice to live as they do no matter how perverted. But they do not stop there. They expose countless others to their blasphemous ways. And why do they do it? Utter contempt and disregard for the gospel. At the same time, they have learned that blasphemy sells.

What people fail to realize is that God sees all and will reward everyone accordingly. These people will not go unpunished if they fail to turn from their ways and from subjecting others to them.
